Learned what noise an elephant makes (complete with hand motion)

Took the world's longest bath

Was taught how to play hide-and-seek the correct way by his aunt and uncle (no leniency for the 1-year-old!)

Today was a great day.

The 27th letter

Rand is starting to learn his alphabet. He loves to imitate anything we say, so on one of our many recent trips to California, I started saying the alphabet and he copied me. We don't say it that often -- every couple of days or so -- so I was surprised when I was watching him playing with toys by himself the other day and hear him quietly say:

"U, V, W, X, Y, Z, yay!!"

I'm pretty sure that he thinks "yay" is the last letter of the alphabet.

Adventures in Food

Rand was eating his morning snack of grapes (cut into small pieces, of course) when he put his bowl on the floor, got on all fours, and started eating the grapes out of the bowl like a dog would.

I asked him what he was doing, and he said, "Eating." I asked him if he was eating like Nugget and Otto, and he said, "Woof woof."

Sounds good.
