Playground Time - August 2015

We love going to the local Splash Pad/park in the evenings. Daisy is a pro at marching all over the playground on her big strong legs (only slightly terrifying me with her bravery) and just discovered that slides are fun! I help her get started and she laughs all the way to the bottom. Ella is STRONG and can climb anything!

Daisy - at almost two!

She talks and talks and talks. "Trampoline," "Christmas lights" and "Hold you, mama" are three of my favorite phrases.

She is always SO happy to pick up Rand and Ella from school. There is a little Daisy-sized bench that she likes to sit on with them after school.

She hates sleeping. But loves food. Especially berries, applesauce, and yogurt. She will read books all day long and her favorites are Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Polar Bear, Polar Bear.

She says "Scuse you!" and "Thank you!" appropriately. She loves animals and looking for airplanes and bubble baths. She loves pouring and scooping and jumping on the trampoline. She loves getting her boots on but also goes barefoot as often as she can. The one and only time she has ever put herself to bed was on Christmas Day...I couldn't find her and finally looked in the guest bedroom:

New Years Trip

We had a fantastic jam-packed trip to California over New Years. We started out by watching Star Wars in the movie theater, with extra popcorn and excitement.

On Thursday we went to LACMA. The Metropolis exhibit was definitely Daisy's favorite. We also enjoyed the lampposts, the view, and a huuuuge elevator.

We had the BEST pudding from a food truck and spent some time at the La Brea Tar Pits.

New Years Eve was uneventful, much to Ella's dismay ("It seems like no one in this house cares about New Years!"). On New Years Day we watched the Rose Parade and Grandpa took the kids on a bike ride. John and I met them at the park.

We spent the afternoon with the Always lovely brunch group, with the annual Whitr Elephant gift exchange. Rand ended up with this sweet shirt. He had an awful lot of fun with his first white elephant.

Elijah and Josiah came over for a sleepover and all the kids and one very kind Grandpa camped out in the living room.

On Saturday we went to the beach in the morning. Such a gorgeous day!

We went to Riverdance that afternoon, which was SO fun.

Rand and John showed off their mad dancing skills afterwards.

And of course, they had to run through the maze.

We finished up the night with Fisher famil Christmas gifts....there were some tired babies but they sure were spoiled rotten!

We had such a good time!
