Disneyland!

We took a super short but super fun trip to Disneyland this month.  Rand's favorite ride was Star Tours (he shrieked with joy all 4 times). Ella rode three times but midway through the 4th line she decided it was too scary for her. The employees were so nice and let her wait for us by the exit door. She said that talking to the worker was much more fun.

The first ride that we went on was Astro Blasters, then we moved on to the Nark Twain riverboat...no carousel for us! Ella kept calling Tom Sawyer's island "Columbia" for the rest of the trip.

It was so fun to go with mom, dad, and John. We stayed for Fantasmic, which was worth the cold and crowds.

They were a great age to take - they loved the parade the 2nd day and Ella was so sweet waving to all the characters. Daisy got to go spend the afternoon/night with Katie, Grandpa, and Grandma, so we rode ride after ride until 10pm and R&E suggested that we go home...I didn't have to be the mean mom!

Ella was not supposed to go on any rides without me because of her age, but this nice taxi driver let her on anyways while Daisy and I followed behind with the stroller. She gave him a hug when they climbed off and he said that she made his day.

They LOVED Tom Sawyer island. Rand was such a good big brother and was very encouraging to Ella as we wandered through the caves and over wobbly bridges.

They both got some dollars to spend; Rand got a Star Tours blaster and Ella bought a giant lollipop and a bubble blower.

We stopped for Mickey beignets and a mint Julip, which was a fun treat. Yay for Disneyland!

Silly Mountain, Part 2!

We had a fun Saturday afternoon visiting Grandpa and Grandma Fisher. Grandma saved the comics for Rand and bought strawberries and root beer for Ella. We went on a hike up Silly Mountain, which is just the right size for younger climbers. Ella was old enough this year to climb all the way to the top and Daisy stayed with Grandma and JoJo to eat puff corn and ride around in her stroller. Grandpa made a marshmallow gun for Rand, so he had a fantastic time shooting his way up the mountain. It was a gorgeous February day, with a beautiful sunset and Bluzzards at Dairy Queen to end the day.

We came back to find this happy baby!

These Two

Fred the Pony loves Daisy, and she loves him right back! He willingly chooses to see her every time I wheel her stroller into the pony pasture.
