Overheard

Scene: Ella has one of Rand's trains in her mouth.

Rand: "Ella, don't put that in your mouth!  That is not cool to me."

The irony abounds.

Rand at 8 months. Look at that hair!
Ella at 8 months. Aside from the little mohawk, there ain't much. Sigh.

Doggies

Rand has been into the various dogs we've had at our house recently. This is Rand with Gracie. He called her the "spikey one" because of her short coat. Gracie is a snuggler, and she would cozy up to Rand whenever he sat on the couch and watched a movie.

Rand also loved Sophie. She liked belly rubs, and Rand was happy to oblige!

A trip to Fountain Hills

Last weekend the kids and I went to Fountain Hills for a birthday party. It's a little town about an hour from our house, and is very different from most of Phoenix. For one thing, there are lots of hills! They also have one of the largest fountains in the world there.

We could see the fountain from a couple of miles away. It was very impressive.

Rand is getting really good at playing soccer!

He and his buddy Brayden ate pizza together....

Ella can sit! And she thought the sand was fascinating.

On the way home, we stopped by Rand's very own street: Rand Drive. He thought it was so cool that he had his very own street.

Sad and Happy

Rand: "Mommy, is Otto a sad dog? Otto points his face sad."

Me: "No, that's because he's a Boxer."

Rand: "But Nugget is a happy dog. Nugget likes to smile."

Oh my.

Once again, it's been a while. I am currently uploading photos off of my camera, and there are 205 of them. Eeeks. And some of them are from quite a while ago!

We are still trying to find a new daily routine -- since Rand has dropped his nap, my regular blogging time also disappeared.

I'm going to go sort through photos and then I can tell you all about our adventures in the past month. In the meantime, Werner is incredibly proud that his son is also a geek:
