Silly Mountain

It's always so fun to have Grandpa and Grandma Fisher come out to Arizona in January!  We went and saw them nearly every other weekend.  Grandma spoiled them rotten by buying peanuts for Rand and candies for both of them. 

 

One Saturday we went for a hike on Silly Mountain.  The name is misleading -- it's actually a pretty tough climb!  There were several trails leading all over and around the mountain and during our three-hour hike we went on just about every one of them.  The very top of the mountain was so steep that Rand and I had to climb up on our hands on knees.  It was a little too tricky for Ella so she and Grandpa watched us go up and up and up!  Rand is a pretty fearless climber, and Ella did great.  She skinned her knee badly in the first 2 minutes of our hike so I carried her quite a bit but she was still her habitually enthusiastic little self. 

 

And isn't Ella dressed beautifully for hiking?  She is such a funny girl.
