Pink

Me: "I feel like there was something that I needed to do tonight, but I can't remember what..."

Daisy: "Was it pink?"

Also, she calls rainboots "puddle boots."

November Sayings

Rand's recent book review of "Animorphs" - "It's good, but not for the weak-minded."

Daisy, touching my wet hair:"Why your hair wet, mama? You take a shower?"
Me: "Yes"
Daisy: "Cuz you were all dusty?"

Daisyisms

Daisy: "Mama, I twipped on the pole."

Me, mimicking her because she is so stinking cute: "Aww, I'm sorry you twipped."

Daisy: "No, I TRIPPED."

She calls lightning "cracking," as in, " The sky is cracking!"

Happy birthday Daisy!!

Our sweet baby is TWO!  On her actual birthday we picked up cupcakes and had a special dinner with Daisy's favorite foods (macaroni and broccoli!). She loved the candles but did not like being sung to. So instead I lit the candles, Rand and Ella blew them out, Daisy laughed, and we did it over and over again.

She got an Elmo balloon that is still hanging around. She remembered how to open presents from Christmas and had a lot of fun opening her packages. Ella gave her a dump truck and Ramd have her lots of bubbles.

We had her party the next day. Lots of friends came over and we rented a big purple bounce house. We made four kinds of ice cream and had loads of toppings. The kids played and bounced and ate and we had a lovely time celebrating our baby!

Playground Time - August 2015

We love going to the local Splash Pad/park in the evenings. Daisy is a pro at marching all over the playground on her big strong legs (only slightly terrifying me with her bravery) and just discovered that slides are fun! I help her get started and she laughs all the way to the bottom. Ella is STRONG and can climb anything!

Daisy - at almost two!

She talks and talks and talks. "Trampoline," "Christmas lights" and "Hold you, mama" are three of my favorite phrases.

She is always SO happy to pick up Rand and Ella from school. There is a little Daisy-sized bench that she likes to sit on with them after school.

She hates sleeping. But loves food. Especially berries, applesauce, and yogurt. She will read books all day long and her favorites are Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Polar Bear, Polar Bear.

She says "Scuse you!" and "Thank you!" appropriately. She loves animals and looking for airplanes and bubble baths. She loves pouring and scooping and jumping on the trampoline. She loves getting her boots on but also goes barefoot as often as she can. The one and only time she has ever put herself to bed was on Christmas Day...I couldn't find her and finally looked in the guest bedroom:
