4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July with friends, root beer floats, and LOTS of fireworks!  Rand and Ella kept their hands over their ears for most of the night.  Ella went inside when the big fireworks started and watched from the kitchen window.  Rand sat on my lap until one firework unexpectedly was much louder and higher than we expected, and then he also bolted inside and stayed there until we were done.  Maybe next year they'll stay for the whole thing.....

Tank races -- five tanks for five kids!
